My adventure with English as a foreign language during pandemic times is quite dull, rather normal, I think, as I am ordinary, boring student of plain, business studies. Let’s start this short story. So…
Everything began in bed and ended on the floor.
You will asked me ‘why in bed?’. Of course, I am a type of a couch patote who would stay long hours during the night in bed watching Netflix. And then consequences occured. I was falling asleep after waking up around 7 a.m. and was starting my lectures in English (I study in English) in bed. The result was, I was sleeping during classes what was quite funny but also food for thought if is that kind of education leading in the right direction.
But there are more funny stories. I go to the treadmill which I have at home, as gyms remain closed. And during walking or running I listen to podcasts, very different, Luke’s, BBC and many more. Once I was listening a podcast according to volcano. Suddenly, something shocked me. I was so moved, I fell down from the treadmill. I was in pain, scared of that situation, and also my phone and earphones were broken. How to not like pandemic times?
Finally, I am looking forward to coming back to universities. Maybe I would buy a cup of coffee before classes, because making it mornings at home is to much effort. I also do not go to run or walk on treadmill anymore.
